screen-shot-2016-12-15-at-8-09-58-pm

Canada kicks-off its 150th birthday celebrations on January 1, 2017!

And the wedge is getting knee-deep into the fun of it.

thewedge.LIVE is launching the wedge 150 : a rural conquest for every town and city in the wedge (East Ontario). Everyone in the wedge can participate: individuals (18+), businesses, schools, groups. Ottawa is doing an awesome job with Ottawa 2017; so, this project is extra, without duplication.

UPDATE: We’ve rebranded Jan 19, the wedge 150 a rural conquest

How far and wide is the wedge?

Hawkesbury is farthest East, Pembroke/Petawawa furthest Northwest, and Kingston, Southwest. It’s a big area ‘wedged in’ between Quebec and USA, Ottawa River and the St. Lawrence. Smiths Falls and Perth are smack dab in the centre. East Ontario is an awesome, booming region, with an estimated population of 1.6 million.
