T’was merry mayhem on the evenin’ of St. Patrick’s Day. The Green Mile Beer Run (or walk, crawl) was over. The Winners were declared.

Brett McKimm, a tall lanky 29 year-old from Carleton Place, ran 400 metres, 8 times, with two 4 Degrees beers in him–in 7:57 minutes!! Then John Maloney, Event Producer, Urban Jungle, challenged him to another run. I was not there to witness the carnage.

The event took place indoors at the County Fair Mall, Smiths Falls, recently acquired by the Saumure Group. Over 100 attended to watch and most participated in the run.

The after-party was great fun. Suffice it to write, when grown men turn green, ‘stuff’ happens.
