Businesses in the wedge are you ready for tourism this 2017? Here is one of the chief reasons why tourists are flocking to the region. Watch MAGGIE M’s interview of Guy Laflamme and how he is changing Ottawa, for ever.

Be ready. Paint your awnings, shine your windows, and practice, “Hello” and “Thank you,” in ten languages. Ottawa is expecting 11 million tourists. Accommodation beyond its borders will be needed. Car rentals and boat tours will burst in demand. Restaurants will be full. Shops will be pressed to keep up.

SMALL TOWN EFFECT

Perth, Smiths Falls, Merrickville, Westport, Almonte, Carleton Place, Renfrew, Brockville, Gananoque, Thousands Islands, basically all St. Lawrence and Rideau Canal towns, will be beneficiaries. Who travels far without exploring out?

It is also Canada’s 150th birthday celebration; so, we are in full regalia.
